Hi, I am Lisa! I am a recently retired college professor living in the Los Angeles area, and have worked in both the community college and four year university settings teaching writing, literature, and college success courses. I hold a BA in English and Theatre and a Masters in English Literature from California State University, Nortridge.

I have experience as an AP evaluator and specialize in narrative and expository writing with an emphasis on critical reading. I have taught literature at multiple levels and counseled many students in timed writing proficiency exams strategies and other writing assignments. I also love working with international students, helping them with conversational English and writing in different settings. 

I believe that diving into topics, exploring them, and working through multiple drafts and revisions with feedback is extremely valuable and builds confidence as a lifelong learner. We can find topics together to explore and practice critical thinking and writing to build skills for timed writing to multiple draft assignments.
